Known Issues

Compress prompts you to save changes even though you haven’t made any.

Currently, the Compress plug-in will prompt you to save changes when you close a file, even if you haven’t made any changes.

Until we can update the plug-in, you can either ignore the prompt and exit without saving the image, or save the image as another file type.

If you don’t remember if you made changes to the image, follow these steps:

1. Click Cancel in the Save Changes dialog.
2. When the Save Changes dialog is closed, look at the image tab or window title bar.
   1. If there is an asterisk * character after the filename in the title bar or tab, then the image has unsaved changes.
   2. If there is no asterisk, then you have not changed the image, and you can close it without saving changes.
3. Close the image, saving it as necessary.
